With over 22 years of experience in the security industry, all with Johnson Controls/Tyco, Niru Satgunananthan has held a variety of roles spanning operations and sales. Niru’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and technology, which has provided a strong foundation for his work across both physical security and cyberspace. Throughout his career, he has partnered with some of the world’s largest organizations, delivering solutions and expertise across diverse verticals such as banking, technology, utilities, government, cannabis, telecommunications and data centers.

Niru has extensive hands-on experience working with large-scale video management and access control systems, including CCURE9000, Genetec, Lenel, Honeywell Prowatch, Milestone, March Networks and many others. His technical background is further supported by various IT certifications in SQL Data Platform, cloud and infrastructure.
Niru serves as the enterprise business development and consulting lead at Johnson Controls Strategic Accounts, with a focus on driving strategic growth and delivering tailored solutions to enterprise clients. He specializes in technology road maps, infrastructure and compliance, helping organizations navigate complex regulatory and operational landscapes. He is also an active member of the SIA Artificial Intelligence Board, contributing to the advancement of AI.
One of Niru’s notable projects includes leading the end-to-end deployment of North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) compliance solutions for customers, ensuring robust security and regulatory adherence. His broad industry experience, technical expertise and commitment to innovation continue to drive value for clients and partners alike.
